AJOI Sport
Accessible Sports Activities
As some sporting activities may be too far away or too expensive for some young people and their families, AJOI Sport offers free year-round activities throughout the West Island of Montreal. These activities are designed to promote the physical and mental health of participants, while acting in a preventive manner.
Our Services
Open Gyms
In collaboration with local schools, our animation team organizes open gym sessions throughout the school year. These activities, offered outside school hours, give young people the chance to get together, move around and develop their skills in a safe, inclusive environment.
Completely free and open to young people aged 12 to 25, these sports sessions do not require any reservations; participants can simply show up on the day to take full advantage of the activities offered.
Activities Schedule
Park Entertainment
Throughout the summer, AJOI offers a multitude of sports activities for young people in local parks.
Thanks to the active presence of our animation team in the parks of the West Island of Montreal, young people can take ownership of public space in a positive way, while forging new relationships based on respect for themselves, others and their environment.
This park animation offers diversified programming, specially designed to meet the needs and interests of young people in the area. It creates opportunities for enriching and entertaining encounters, while promoting a healthy lifestyle to encourage self-fulfilment through sport.
The West Island's Jeux de la rue
Since 2011, the West Island's Jeux de la rue, an initiative of RAP Jeunesse, has been bringing young people together every year for two major summer sports tournaments: basketball and soccer. These dynamic, unifying events take place in various parks on Montreal's West Island and are open to all young people aged 12 to 25, regardless of their sporting experience.
Beyond the competition, these tournaments offer participants the opportunity to surpass themselves, develop their team spirit and forge bonds in an inclusive and festive setting. The West Island's Jeux de la rue are not only a celebration of sport, but also a way of promoting community involvement, sportsmanship and an active, healthy lifestyle for young people in the region.
